A former University of Minnesota Duluth All-American football player and team captain has pleaded guilty to obstructing Links of London rock star guitar charm legal process after an altercation with police at Grandma's Sports Garden on Oct. 3. Robert "Robbie" Wayne Aurich, 23, did not have to appear in court to enter the plea to the misdemeanor links of london necklaces. The plea petition was filed Monday by Assistant St. Louis County Attorney Heather Korpela. Korpela said Judge Eric Hylden took the plea under advisement until Aurich files a Links of London S Charm waiver for his court appearance. Korpela said isn't unusual for a defendant with no prior record to be able to enter a plea to a crime such as Aurich's in the same way. Neither Aurich, who is a criminal justice major at Links of London Scottie Charm, nor his South St. Paul attorney could be reached for comment Monday. As part of the plea resolution, Aurich will write a letter of apology to the police officers involved, a year of probation, pay a $285 fine, and refrain from displaying the same kind of behavior that got him arrested.
