Shanghai-based fashion designers are stressing the marketing and merchandising of their styles, as demonstrated in the recent showcase of six designer's autumn/winter collections. They highlighted the ongoing Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival that ends late this month.
Harbin-born, Singapore-educated designer Zhai Yanxin opened the three-day event last week at Park 2 Space, a new creative zone that once was China's first shipyard manufacturing base. His collection blends classic styles, new proportions and futuristic elements.
