The clinic will house 18 exam and treatment rooms and will provide primary care, mental-health Bee Charm, women's services, a pharmacy as well as an eye care facility. A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been set for 10 a.m. March 4 for the 8,500-square-foot Department of Veteran Affairs Oakhurst Gingerbread Man Based Outpatient Clinic at 40597 Westlake Drive off Highway 49. The clinic is scheduled to open for business March 15. The public is invited to attend the formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be attended by elected officials and other dignitaries. It has been 11 months since the groundbreaking held in April to complete the $2.5 million clinic. Coarsegold resident Jim Winney, 72, is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who will benefit from Dome Jade Charm clinic's proximity. "It will save me an 80-mile trip every time I go down (to Fresno)," he said. "It will save all of us that live up here a trip and it will probably be a more personalized experience because Big Rock 'Diamond' Ring Charm will be a smaller clinic."
